City of Augusta Issues RFP for Naming Rights to Redbud Rail Trail Bridge

The City of Augusta is inviting proposals from individuals, businesses, and organizations interested in securing naming rights for the newly constructed Redbud Rail Trail Bridge spanning U.S. Highway 54/400.

The Request for Proposals (RFP), released today, offers a unique opportunity to partner with the City on a highly visible and iconic piece of infrastructure that serves as a key gateway into the community and an integral component of the regional Redbud Rail Trail system.

Completed in late 2025, the pedestrian and bicycle bridge provides a safe, ADA-accessible crossing over Highway 54/400 and supports connectivity across the region. The structure also plays a vital role in the ongoing effort to complete a 3.14-mile segment of the Redbud Trail into Augusta’s downtown Red Brick District in partnership with the Andover-Augusta Rail Trail Initiative (AARTI).

“This bridge represents a major investment in connectivity, recreation, and quality of life for our residents and visitors,” said City Manager Josh Shaw. “Through this naming rights opportunity, we are seeking a partner who shares our vision and wants to be part of a lasting community asset.”

With an estimated 16,000 to 18,000 motorists traveling beneath the bridge daily, the naming rights partner will benefit from significant regional visibility. Additional recognition opportunities include placement in City publications, trail maps, media coverage, and participation in community events and promotions.

Proceeds from the naming rights agreement will directly support the continued construction and long-term maintenance of the Redbud Trail corridor between Highway 54/400 and Augusta city limits.

Anticipated Award Announcement: June 2026
